Nitrox Diver
This is the entry level certification course for recreational divers wishing to take advantage of utilizing enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas, to extend bottom times or simply to reduce the amount of nitrogen in the body.
The objective of the Nitrox course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using Nitrox mixes from 22% to 40% oxygen content.
Upon successful completion of this course students may purchase and use 32% and 36% enriched air nitrox and are qualified to enroll in:
- TDI Advanced Nitrox Course
- TDI Decompression Procedures Course
Classroom - Open Water - Introduction to Nitrogen Diving is not necessary
- Nitrox history for experienced divers
- Oxygen
- Oxygen equipment and mixing
- Dive planning
- Exam
Equipment Needed
Nitrox dives can be added at the Instructors discretion and at an extra cost. The student needs only normal diving equipment.
