Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course is an important step in expanding a diver's knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level and is in itself a prerequisite for all PADI leadership training, (Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor etc).

The course is designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for individuals to effectively perform diving rescues and assists, manage diving accident situations and render appropriate first aid

Water sessions with video previews of open water work and cover:

  • swimming and non-swimming assists
  • panic-stricken diver response
  • underwater problems
  • missing diver procedures
  • surfacing the unconscious diver
  • in-water artificial respiration
  • equipment removal
  • exits
  • first aid for pressure related injuries
  • full diving accident scenarios
Minimum Age: 15
Experience Level: Advanced open water with at least 20 logged dives
