Open Water Diver

PADI Open Water Diver is the most popular diver program in the world - your ticket to a lifetime of pleasure and adventure. You'll learn scuba fundamentals, equipment and technique.

You will practice scuba skills in a swimming pool, getting you prepared for your Open Water experience in the sea where you'll complete several dives with your instructor.

There are 3 paths you can follow to achieving your Open Water Diver certification with Cornish Diving:

Standard - these courses run every week during the summer (Monday - Thursday), however if there are 4 of you ready to take the first step we can tailor courses to you. Course cost: £299

Gold - Fully inclusive, flexible course with a maximum of two people to each instructor. Course cost: £399

Platinum - Fully inclusive and flexible: your own Instructor and a schedule that suits you. Course cost: £499

There are three main elements to the course

1. Self Study through manual, CD ROM or Video. Knowledge Reviews and elaboration by your Instructor, quizzes and a test
2. Pool dives to learn to use scuba gear, learn and master basic scuba skills and get accustomed to the underwater environment
3. 4 Scuba Dives in the Ocean, putting into practice your new found knowledge and skills. On your underwater SEA adventures, you'll get a close up look at the underwater world, see fish, crabs and lobsters. There is the opportunity to see some U Boat wreckage from WW1 which has now become home to a whole range of aquatic life!
